Itinerary:
Arrival in Wadi Rum & Introduction to the Area:
Meet your climbing guide, who will provide you with an introduction to the area, its history, and its geology.
Briefing on safety measures, climbing routes, and techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable day.
Gear check and preparations for the climb.

Sport Climbing Session:
Begin your sport climbing adventure on one of Wadi Rum’s famous cliffs. Depending on your experience level, your guide will choose an appropriate route. You’ll enjoy climbing on high-quality rock with panoramic desert views.
Enjoy multiple routes throughout the day, with opportunities for rest and photos in between.

Lunch in the Desert:
After a morning of climbing, you will take a break and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the desert (vegetarian options are available).
Relax, soak in the stunning desert scenery, and learn more about Bedouin culture.

Continue Climbing or Explore the Desert:
After lunch, you’ll either resume your climbing session or explore more of the desert via Jeep, depending on your energy levels and preferences. If you choose to continue climbing we will switch location to remain in the shade.
Option to take a short hike to one of the desert’s stunning viewpoints or visit famous landmarks like the Lawrence’s Spring, Burdah Rock Bridge, or the Mushroom Rock.

Sunset Viewing & Photos:
As the day winds down, take a break to watch the desert landscape change colors as the sun begins to set.
Take photos and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Wadi Rum as the temperatures cool.

Jeep Ride Back to Wadi Rum Village:
Head back to Wadi Rum Village by Jeep.
If you're staying overnight in the desert, you'll head to our Bedouin camp.
For those who are not staying overnight, you’ll be transfered back to the village.

One-Day Crazy Camel Multipitch

Crazy Camel is one of Wadi Rum’s iconic multipitch routes, offering climbers an exhilarating challenge with stunning views of the desert landscape. This one-day tour will take you up this legendary route, giving you an unforgettable adventure with a mix of climbing, desert exploration, and jaw-dropping scenery. You’ll be guided by an experienced local guide, with all necessary climbing gear provided.

Who Can Join?
Crazy Camel is a challenging multipitch route requiring solid climbing experience, especially in crack and face climbing. It is recommended for climbers with at least intermediate-level skills.

Itinerary:
Arrival in Wadi Rum & Briefing:
Arrive in Wadi Rum and meet your climbing guide, who will provide a safety briefing and overview of the Crazy Camel route.
Quick gear check to ensure everything is in place: harnesses, ropes, helmets, climbing shoes, and any additional gear.
The Crazy Camel route is situated on the Jebel M'zeygeh formation in Wadi Rum. 

Climbing the Crazy Camel:
Route Overview:
•  Difficulty: Grades range from 6a+ to 6b+ (approximately 5.10a to 5.10d in YDS).
•  Length: Approximately 100 meters spread over 4 pitches.
•  Protection: Fully bolted sport route.
•  Descent: Rappel (abseil) the same route in four stages.

Pitch Breakdown:
Pitch 1: 6a+, 25 meters, 10 bolts.
•  Begins with technical moves on solid rock, setting the tone for the climb.
Pitch 2: 6b+, 25 meters, 9 bolts.
•  Features a well-protected crux that can be divided into two segments:
•  First segment: 15 meters, 6b, 5 bolts.
•  Second segment: 10 meters, 6b+, 4 bolts.
•  A belay station is positioned just before the crux, approximately 40 meters from the ground.
Pitch 3: 6a, 25 meters, 9 bolts.
•  Offers an airy feel with some spaced bolting due to rock quality considerations.
Pitch 4: 5c+, 25 meters, 9 bolts.
•  Concludes with a slab climb leading to the top.

While the route doesn't reach the absolute summit, it is possible to traverse approximately 5 meters to the right from the final station and, with the aid of a few cams, ascend an additional 15 meters to the peak.

Equipment Recommendations:
Quickdraws: A total of 12, with 5-4 being longer to accommodate varied bolt placements.
Rope: A single 60-meter rope is sufficient.
Additional Gear: If aiming for the true summit, carry a small selection of cams for the final unbolted section.

One-Day Orange Sunshine, Jebel Burdah

Orange Sunshine is a notable climbing route on the East Face of Jebel Burdah in Wadi Rum, Jordan. This route offers climbers a blend of moderate technical challenges and breathtaking desert vistas, and the unique experience of traversing a natural rock arch.

Who Can Join?
Orange Sunshine is a thrilling challenge for intermediate to advanced trad climbers seeking a new adventure in Wadi Rum.

Itinerary:
Arrival in Wadi Rum & Briefing:
Arrive in Wadi Rum and meet your climbing guide, who will provide a safety briefing and overview of the Orange Sunshine route.
Quick gear check to ensure everything is in place: harnesses, ropes, helmets, climbing shoes, and any additional gear.

Climbing Orange Sunshine:
Route Overview:
•  Length: Approximately 300 meters
•  Pitches: 8 to 10
•  Grade: French 5 (equivalent to HVS 5a or YDS 5.9)
•  Climbing Type: Traditional multi-pitch
•  Approach: Transportation by Jeep to the base of Jebel Burdah. The approach involves a hike leading to the prominent East Face, easily identifiable by its vast expanse of slabs. The route starts near an obvious left-leaning stair-step feature.

Pitch Breakdown:
•  Pitch 1: Climb the tiered, left-leaning steps for about 30-40 meters to a comfortable stance. (5.7)
•  Pitch 2: Continue straight up using cracks and slabs to another clear stance. (5.6, 40m)
•  Pitch 3: Ascend directly, encountering a 5.8 slab move to the left. Belay from natural threads. (5.8, 60m)
•  Pitch 4: Climb up to just below the steep headwall, belaying in a sheltered alcove. (60m)
•  Pitch 5: Traverse right from the belay, clipping two pitons through the vertical crux. After overcoming the steep section, move left, utilizing ample natural threads for protection. (5.9, 30m)
•  Pitches 6 & 7: Navigate easier slab terrain, with each pitch extending up to 60 meters.
•  Pitch 8: A short 15-meter climb leads to a scree field, marking the end of the technical climbing.

Descent:
From the top of the route, it's recommended to continue for about 30 minutes to reach the summit, which offers spectacular views. The descent follows the popular north ridge, a straightforward path that includes crossing the iconic Burdah Rock Bridge.

Climbing The Haj Route up Jebel Rum

One-Day The Haj Route, Jebel Rum

The Haj Route is one of the most rewarding multi-pitch climbs in Wadi Rum, Jordan, ascending the stunning east face of Jebel Rum (1,734m). This route offers challenging crack systems, exposed slabs, and breathtaking summit views. 

Who Can Join?
It is ideal for experienced climbers looking for an adventurous, full-day ascent.

Route Details: 
Difficulty: 5.10 (French 6b)
Length: ~350m (8–10 pitches)
Climbing Type: Traditional multi-pitch
Time Required: 8–10 hours round trip
Required Skills: Crack climbing, chimney climbing, route finding, and rappelling
Recommended Gear: Full trad rack, 60m rope, slings for natural anchors

Itinerary:
Early start from Wadi Rum Village. We will arrange to meet you and drive to the base of the route.
06:30 – Approach to the Base.  
Hike through the canyon leading to the start of The Haj Route. The approach involves some scrambling and light bouldering. The first pitch starts in a crack system at the bottom of the east face.
Start Climbing (8–10 Pitches)

Pitch Breakdown:
•  5.7 (IV+) – Easy crack climbing leading to a ledge.
•  5.8 (V) – A long slab with a crack for protection.
•  5.9 (V+) – A steeper section leading into a chimney squeeze.
•  5.10a (6a) – The first crux: a thin crack requiring finger jams and precise footwork.
•  5.10b (6a+) – A technical face climb with small holds and delicate movement.
•  5.9 (V+) – A traverse onto an exposed section of rock.
•  5.8 (V) – Fun jamming cracks and a corner climb.
•  5.7 (IV+) – A slabby finish to the summit ridge.

13:30 – Begin Descent via Hammad’s Route
The descent follows a series of downclimbs and scrambles.

Celebrate with Bedouin tea and a well-earned meal before your return to Wadi Rum Village via Jeep.

Key Tips & Techniques for The Haj Route:
•  Trad Climbing Experience Required – Must be comfortable placing gear.
•  Chimney & Crack Climbing Skills – Expect tight spaces and hand jams.
•  Rappel Planning – Fixed anchors available, but bring extra slings for backup.
•  Start Early – Desert conditions can be extreme. We avoid climbing in midday heat.

Summit of Eye of Allah

Two-Days Eye of Allah, Jebel Rum

The Eye of Allah is a classic traditional route on the East Face of Jebel Rum, offering one of the most rewarding desert alpine adventures in Wadi Rum. The climb follows cracks, chimneys, and ledges leading to a spectacular cave formation resembling an “eye,” before continuing to the summit plateau of Jebel Rum. This two-day expedition includes a bivouac on the summit, giving climbers the unique experience of watching the sunset and sunrise from Jordan’s highest sandstone peak.

Who Can Join?
The Eye of Allah is ideal for experienced trad climbers with solid multi-pitch skills and good fitness, comfortable leading up to French 5a / HVS 5a / YDS 5.8.
Participants should be confident with route-finding, anchor building, abseiling, and overnight bivouacs in remote desert terrain..


Route Overview:
Length: ~400 m
Pitches: 6 – 7
Grade: French 5a (HVS 5a / YDS 5.8)
Climbing Type: Traditional multi-pitch
Duration: 1 full day to summit + overnight + half-day descent

Pitch Breakdown:

• Start in a broad corner crack and follow a left-leaning ramp system (5a, 45 m).
• Continue up the crack to a ledge below a chimney. Belay on natural gear. (5a, 45 m)
• Climb the wide chimney and move right onto slabs. (4+, 50 m)
• Continue up slabby ground, trending left to the base of the large cave — the “Eye of Allah.” (4, 40 m)
• Pass through the cave and climb the wall above via a steep crack and small roofs. (5a, 50 m)
• Easier ground up to the plateau below the summit ridge. (3+, 60 m)
•  Scramble to the summit plateau of Jebel Rum (1,734 m) — the highest point in Wadi Rum.

Summit Bivouac Experience
Atop Jebel Rum, you’ll spend a night under the stars in one of Jordan’s most stunning wilderness locations.
Find a flat, sheltered area for sleeping near the summit plateau.
Prepare a simple meal and enjoy panoramic sunset views across Wadi Rum.
Overnight in bivouac bags or lightweight tents (temperatures can drop sharply — bring warm layers).
Early morning sunrise over the desert before starting descent.

Descent
The next morning, descend via Hammad’s Route or similar Bedouin path:
Several abseils (some up to 50 m) and exposed scrambling sections.
Follow cairns and natural ledges leading back to Wadi Shelaali.
Estimated time: 4 – 5 hours back to the base.
Meet vehicle or hike out to Wadi Rum village.

One-Day Jebel Rum Scrambling

The Jebel Rum Scramble offers an unforgettable full-day journey to the highest summit in Wadi Rum (1,734 m) via classic Bedouin routes. Combining light climbing, route-finding, and airy ridgelines, this route showcases the grandeur of Jordan’s sandstone mountains without the need for technical rock climbing. Expect a blend of steep scrambles, desert panoramas, and ancient Bedouin pathways etched into the cliffs.

Who Can Join?
This trip is perfect for fit trekkers and adventurous scramblers with a good head for heights and comfort on exposed terrain.
No technical climbing experience is required, but participants should be confident using their hands on rock and comfortable with moderate exposure.

Route Overview:
Length: ~8 km round trip
Elevation Gain: ~850 m
Grade: Easy scrambling to Grade 3 (occasional use of hands)
Type: Guided scramble / Bedouin route
Duration: 6 – 8 hours round trip

Approach:
Short 4×4 transfer (10–15 min) to the base of Jebel Rum, then a gradual hike up sandy gullies leading to the main slabs and chimneys.

Route Description:
Section 1 – Approach Gully:
Follow a broad sandy wadi leading to the base of the east face. Easy walking with minor scrambling. (~1 h)
Section 2 – The Chimney Passage:
Enter a shaded gully with short scrambling moves and polished sandstone ledges. Occasional use of rope for security. (~1 h, Grade 2–3)
Section 3 – The Narrow Ramp:
Traverse along a ledge system overlooking the vast desert below. Magnificent photo opportunities and a glimpse into ancient Bedouin paths. (~1 h)
Section 4 – Summit Ridge:
Gentle but exposed ascent across domed sandstone slabs to the summit of Jebel Rum (1,734 m) — the highest peak in Wadi Rum. (~1 h)
Enjoy panoramic views of Jebel Um Ishrin, Wadi Shelaali, and the red desert stretching to Saudi Arabia.

Summit Break & Lunch

This trip is designed for fit hikers and beginner scramblers with a sense of adventure and a good head for heights.
No prior climbing experience is required — just reasonable fitness, comfort on uneven terrain, and enthusiasm for desert exploration.

Route Overview:
Length: ~6 km round trip
Elevation Gain: ~600 m
Grade: Easy to Moderate Scrambling (up to Grade 3)
Type: Guided scramble / Bedouin route
Duration: 5 – 7 hours round trip

Approach:
Short drive from Wadi Rum village to Khazali Canyon. The route begins inside the narrow slot canyon decorated with ancient petroglyphs and Nabataean inscriptions, then ascends toward the main ridgeline of Jebel Khazali.

Route Description:
Section 1 – Khazali Canyon Approach:
Explore the narrow red-sandstone canyon (a few meters wide) filled with carvings, inscriptions, and water-worn rock formations. Gentle scrambling and short chimney moves lead to the canyon exit. (~1 h, Grade 1–2)
Section 2 – Chimney & Ramp Ascent:
Climb through a series of chimneys and ramps, occasionally using hands for balance. Natural steps and pockets in the rock provide solid footing. (~1 h 30 min, Grade 2–3)
Section 3 – Summit Ridge Traverse:
Once on the ridge, follow a spectacular line of domes and ledges overlooking Wadi Rum’s vast desert basin. The scramble remains moderate but exposed in places. (~1 h 30 min)
Section 4 – Summit Plateau:
Reach the high plateau of Jebel Khazali (~1,400 m). Enjoy sweeping views of Jebel Rum to the north and the dunes stretching toward Saudi Arabia.

Summit Break & Lunch

Descent
Descend via the same route or an alternative Bedouin path depending on conditions.
Controlled down-scrambling with guide assistance.
Optional short abseil sections if the route is dry and equipped.
Allow 2 – 3 hours for the full descent back to the canyon entrance.
Rejoin the 4×4 for return transfer to Wadi Rum village.
